Android tv boxes are great little media center devices. You can use them to store and access your home network or even use them to watch legitimate free tv that is offered throughout various places on the internet. You may currently find tv shows and movies by viewing such legitimate sites as ABC, NBC, CBS, CBC, and other network station websites Many of these television stations, and many others, have their content readily accessible for anyone to watch online. The Android tv box can make finding this television/movie content much easier.

There are several ways to set up your android tv box.

1. The first is not setting it up at all. By this I mean that when you purchase most android streaming devices they already come pre-programmed with all the software needed to view streaming movies and tv online, as well as the networking to sync to your own home network.

2. Another way to ensure you have all the content you prefer is to download "apk" files from the net on to your streaming media player and then click those apks to watch what you like. An apk is simply a file format that your favorite show or website may be saved as.

You can in effect make your own apks as well through this online site here: http://web2apk.com/create.aspx and then install to your media streaming device to watch your own custom made program. The google play store, if installed on your android device, is also another handy way to download content to be easily accessed via your tv streaming box.

3. Thirdly, you can set up world renown free software called kodi. This software, formerly called xbmc (xbox media center), which is freely downloaded from their site kodi.tv can open up a whole new world for android box streaming. This software allows you to add stream urls that make video streaming on these boxes, almost endless. This can be a fairly advanced way of setting up your android tv box but it's really not all that hard. You can follow the many online youtube videos out there which show you step by step of how to do such. In fact some of my blogs on here direct you to that information as well. Also MY two youtube channels, Here, and Here, may also shed some light on the subject for you. Often tv boxes like these here , come pre-installed with kodi but it has been my experience that the kodi version on the box often needs updating. This is why many contact people like www.tvthatsfree.com to make sure they get a box with everything running properly. Of course as you learn how to set up kodi tv you can make sure you too know how to have your streaming tv box running to its fullest and best capacity.

Many ask the question: " Which is the best android tv box? "

I personally have found that even the cheaper end tv boxes like this one can run just as well as some of the higher end boxes. A good listing of a variety of media streaming boxes can be found here. The only two real cons or problems i have notices are when it comes to your own personal wifi house signal strength in relation to where the box is or the source from which the movie or tv show is streaming from. Generally if you have a good strong wifi signal in your home you're good to go as the later problem of tv/movie-source is not as big of a problem overall. Many say that you experience buffering because of the cheaper end boxes but again my experience tells me differently. I find that its mainly due to the two reasons just mentioned above (wifi signal or stream-source).

Which ever device you choose you can be guaranteed to enjoy free streaming media once you conquer the advanced setup, or purchase from someone who already has it set up properly for you.
